         This project is a restoration of a 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser which is being restored by Eric Lange. The Land Cruiser  was originally covered in snow and had tons of leaves when the project was started. The Toyota Land Cruiser is of the FJ-40 Series which comes stock with a 6 Cyln 4.2 Liter 4 Speed Manual Transmission. The engine produces 230 HP without any modifications. 

FJ-40 History: The FJ-40 Series was available in the U.S. 1961 to 1983. This model Land Cruiser is considered as the "Classic Land Cruiser". It comes as a  two door with removable hardtop. Early models were 3 speeds and were replaced in 1974 with a 4 speed transmission. Two engine types were offered. FJ40's with the 3.8 liter 6 cylinder F engine, which was offered from 1963 to 1974. FJ40s with the larger 4.2 liter 2F engine were offered from 1975 to 1983.
